Microsoft vs. Google.

There was a time when such a showdown seemed difficult to fathom.

That time has passed.

Google Code is an example that I’ve recently come across that should make the inevitable showdown even more interesting. Because Google Code includes a Project Hosting element, Microsoft and others (e.g., SourceForge) may get involved. (The Google vs. SourceForge angle has been blogged about in detail elsewhere.)

It’ll be interesting to see how all of this develops.
