I knew I'd return to York – I just wasn't sure when, how or why. After over seven-and-a-half years in the private sector – most of that with Platform Computing, Inc. and a mere ten months with Scali, Inc. – an opportunity arose at York University that I couldn't refuse: Manager Network Operations, Computing and Network Services.
About a month-and-a-half later, the (re-)transition to the public sector is progressing quite well π
P.S. I knowingly lifted the title of this blog entry from one of my favorite novels – Thomas Hardy's The Return of the Native.
At http://www.yorku.ca/computing/computing_news/TransformerUpgrade/DSCN2113.JPG you'll find a recent picture taken during a weekend power upgrade. Note the stylish sweatshirt from NCAR.
